Brent “BEaston” Easton is speaking to a generation through drumming and the story he tells from behind the drum set will leave you riddled with emotion. At the age of 12 Brent was taught to read music by Motown legend Billy “Stix” Nicks (Jr Walker and The All Stars). Brent entered the national Guitar Center drumming competition and placed runner up in the finals. This sparked the attention of national recording, Grammy/Stellar award winning artists around the world, particularly J. Moss. Brent went on to play drums and tour with J. Moss, a national gospel recording artist and producer for whom he still tours with today.
Brent has played for Stellar, Dove, and Grammy Award winners and nominated artists such as Ralph Tresvant of New Edition, Musiq Soulchild, Shirley Murdock, Ricky Dillard (current), Myron Butler, Kierra Sheard, Marvin Sapp and Fred Hammond, and performed during NBA half-time shows. Brent’s dexterity with drumming has allowed him to tour all over the world, including Africa, London, Amsterdam, Bermuda, and Cayman Islands. Brent is living proof that ambition, talent and integrity can still prevail in an ailing music industry. His attitude and work ethic reflect a mantra that says anything is possible if you just put your mind to it.
